Aulander, NC – Mrs. Lucille Outland “Duck” Drew, age 88 of Aulander, NC, passed away Monday, January 16, 2017 at Creekside Care and Rehabilitation.

Mrs. Drew was born December 23, 1928 in Kelford, NC, the daughter of the late Wayland Perry Outland and Irene Parker Outland. She was also predeceased by her husband, James E. Drew; a daughter, Gloria L. Drew; brother-in-law, John A Drew Jr. and his wife Vera, and two sister-in-laws, Rose Outland and Janice Outland.

She was a member of Aulander Baptist Church and worked in manufacturing for many years.

She is survived by her daughter, Edna Hill and her husband Steve “Tee” Hill of Ahoskie, NC; her grandson, Brian Nelms and his wife Amanda of Aulander, NC; two great grandchildren, Brianna Nelms and Logan Nelms; and her brothers, Rufus Outland of Portsmouth, VA and William “Bill” Outland of Washington, NC.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, January 19, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at Massey Funeral Home in Aulander, NC with Rev. Jerry Johnson officiating.  Burial will follow at Aulander Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at Massey Funeral Home on Wednesday, January 18, 2017 from 6:30 until 8:00 p.m.
