SUFFOLK, VA – Kathryn Elizabeth Joyner was born October 9, 1971 in Portsmouth, VA and passed away on December 31, 2016 at Chesapeake General Hospital.

She was born the only child of David W. Joyner and Charleen V. Joyner. She resided in Chesapeake, Virginia Beach, and Suffolk, VA during her 45 years. She was the granddaughter of Clifton and Ella Joyner of Murfreesboro, NC and Charles and Virginia Venning of Montmorenci, SC.

Kathryn was a member of Great Bridge Baptist Church in Chesapeake, VA, and was a graduate of Great Bridge High School and Tidewater Community College.

A graveside memorial service will be conducted on Tuesday, January 17, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at the Meherrin Baptist Church Cemetery, her father’s home church.
