MURFREESBORO – Spurgeon Tyler Jr., 70, of Murfreesboro died Friday, December 30, 2016 at Vidant Roanoke-Chowan Hospital, Ahoskie. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, January 11, 2017 at New Haven Baptist Church, Murfreesboro. Burial will be in the Albert G. Horton Jr. Memorial Veterans Cemetery, Suffolk, VA. Hertford County Undertakers, Winton, is handling the arrangements.
