MURFREESBORO, NC – James Daniel Glasby, age 77, passed away on January 1, 2017 at his home.

Mr. Glasby was born in Williamston, Anderson County, SC on April 26, 1939, a son of the late Leo Grady and Marie Epps Glasby. James worked in textiles for fifty years.

James is survived by his wife Alycia; two sons, Greg (Tammy) Glasby of Granite Falls, NC, and Chris (Tiffani) Glasby of Perkasie, PA; a daughter, Kathy (Andy) Smith of Eure, NC; a brother, Bob (Betty Sue) Glasby of Williamston, SC; a sister, Sally (Clarence) Breazeale of Seneca, SC; three grandchildren, Madalyn, Alycia, and Mallory; and two great grandchildren, Jonas, and Josephine.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
