ROXOBEL – Mr. Luther Donald Bryant, age 67 of Roxobel, NC died peacefully surrounded by his family on Tuesday, December 20, 2016 at the Sentara Norfolk General of Norfolk, VA.

He was born on February 6, 1949 to the late Winifred and Mike Bryant of Roxobel. He attended NC State University for a number of years before returning to Bertie County making his home in Roxobel. The two brothers, Billy and Donald, farmed together for their entire lives. He was a member of the Sandy Run Baptist Church in Roxobel.

Other than his parents, Donald is preceded in death by his brother, William “Billy” Jenkins Bryant.

Donald is survived by his sister, Lynette Bryant and her husband Carl Perry of Roxobel.

Graveside services will be conducted on Thursday, December 22, 2016 at 11:00 am at the Roxobel Kelford Cemetery in Roxobel with the Rev. H.C. Boschen officiating.
