Louise C. Shrader

COMO, NC – Louise Cuthbertson Shrader, age 90, passed away on November 22, 2016 at Southampton Memorial Hospital of Franklin, VA.

Mrs. Shrader was born in Franklin County, Rainbow Springs, NC, on July 29, 1926, a daughter of the late Moil and Alice Bowman Cuthbertson. Louise was retired as a loan officer for Cummins Credit Union. She was a longtime member of Buckhorn Baptist Church where she was very active as long as she was able, including singing in the church choir. Louise loved her church family and lived and died among them.

Besides her parents, Louise was preceded in death by her loving husband, Floyd English Shader, and her daughter, Linda Sue Shrader.

Left to cherish her memory is her son, James Shrader and wife, Beverly of Scotland Neck, NC; a granddaughter, Shelley McPhee and husband, Ryan of Wilmington, NC; two grandsons, Thomas Shrader of Greenville, NC, and William Burns of CO; two great grandsons, Peyton Burns, and Dillon Burns; a great granddaughter, Riley Burns; and her brother, Francis Marion “Buddy” Cuthbertson and wife, Mary Elizabeth of Como, NC.

The family received friends on Friday, November 25, 2016, at Garrett-Sykes Memorial Chapel-Murfreesboro, NC.

A celebration of life service will be held on Saturday, November 26, 2016 at 1:00 pm at the Buckhorn Baptist Church, Como, NC with the Rev. David Cuthbertson and Rev. Jody Breeding officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
