HARRELLSVILLE – J. Wallace Morgan, 90, of Harrellsville, NC, died Saturday, November 19, 2016 in his home.

Mr. Morgan was born in Chowan County on November 10, 1926, and was the son of the late Archie J. and Carnie Evelyn Smith Morgan. Retired in Waste Management from the Town of Winton, he later worked part-time with the Town of Colerain. He was a member and deacon of Christian Harbor Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sisters, Mabel Jones, Helen Phelps, and Myrtle Harrell; and by brothers, Carlton Morgan, Bradford Harrell, and Howard Morgan.

Surviving are three sisters, Roxie Blanchard of Belvidere, Peggy Grover of Black Creek, and Carolyn Abrams of San Diego, CA; and several nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, November 22 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Miller Funeral Home & Crematory, 735 Virginia Road, Edenton, and will be officiated by the Rev. Russell Blanchard and the Rev. Claude Odom.  Burial will follow in the Macedonia Baptist Church Cemetery.
