SUN CITY, AZ – Louise Hill Meyer, age 93 of Sun City, Arizona, passed away Wednesday, October 26, 2016 at her residence, The Inn at Freedom Plaza, Peoria, AZ.

Louise was preceded in death by her husband, M.Sgt. Ernest Meyer, US Army; her brothers, James T. Hill, Joseph Edmund Hill, Alfred E. Hill, and Merrile W. Hill, and Louise’s mother, Isma Eley Hill, and father, James A. Hill; and her step-mother, Estella Willoughby Hill, all of Ahoskie, N.C.

She is survived by her daughter, Linda Williamson, her son-in-law, SGT. E. E. (Gene) Williamson, retired Greensboro Police, both of Sun City, AZ; her step-grandsons, Kevin and Keith Williamson; and her great-grand-daughter, Katie Meadows; and three great great grandchildren, all of North Carolina.

Louise was born in Ahoskie, North Carolina in 1923. She moved to Greensboro, NC around 1957, where she worked until 1970 at Kinney Keesee Office Supply during the day and at night for the March of Dimes. She was honored by the March of Dimes for her many years of volunteer service.

She met her husband, Ernest Meyer, of the US Army and they were married 1963. They moved to Sun City, Arizona in 1970 where she went to work with the Recreation Centers of Sun City. She retired in 1983 with a retirement party given by the Recreation Center. Louise looked after her husband Ernie while he battled cancer until 1989, when he passed away.

She became interested in Water Aerobics classes while meeting Verona Hiland. After 1989 Louise made Water Aerobics her life’s passion and still was her passion until the day she died.

If there are tears in Heaven, she will have a Water Aerobics class in Heaven.  I love and miss you Mom!

Louise asked that there be no funeral services and the burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to: The American Cancer Society.
