WOODLAND –Chief of Police J. Ruppe said a 12-year-old girl reported missing Sunday has been found safe.

“She is not hurt at all,” said Ruppe.

An amber alert was issued Sunday for Zahreiah Moni-Symone Gilliam, who was reported missing from her grandmother’s home at 507 East Main Street Woodland, Sunday night.

According to reports, Zahreiah was playing outside her grandmother’s apartment late Sunday afternoon. When the grandmother went outside to summon the child indoors, it was then discovered that the little girl was missing.

She was found safe just after 7 a.m. Monday near where she was last reported as seen.

Ruppe said all law enforcement agencies worked well together, including the Northampton County Sheriff’s Office, the SBI, the FBI, and the Center for Missing and Exploited Children.
