David G. Thompson, Sr.

WINDSOR – David Gray Thompson, Sr., 72, of 810 Robert Street, Windsor, NC, passed away on Friday, October 14, 2016 in Sentara Norfolk General Hospital.

Mr. Thompson was born on February 2, 1944, and was the son of the late Roy Victor and Hazel Speer Thompson. A graduate of Hargrave Military Academy, and an Air Force veteran of the Vietnam War, he was employed in sales and delivery with Bill Clough Ford in Windsor, and was a member of Windsor United Methodist Church and the American Legion.

A good neighbor and friend to many, he was well known and respected in his community.

Surviving are his wife of nearly 27 years, Penny Tayloe Thompson, and their children, grandchildren, and other extended family members.

Memorial services are being planned with the assistance of Miller Funeral Home & Crematory, 735 Virginia Road, Edenton.
