GATES – Carolyn Virginia Byrum, 72, of  Drum Hill Hunt Club Lane, Gates, died Sunday, October 9, 2016 at Vidant Medical Center, Greenville. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, October 13, 2016 at Middle Swamp Baptist Church.  A private burial will follow in the church cemetery. Miller Funeral Home, Gatesville, is handling the arrangements.
