MERRY HILL – Kenneth Walter Britt, 74, of Mount Gould, died Wednesday, September 7, 2016 at Vidant Bertie Memorial Hospital. He was born in Bertie County October 22, 1941 to the late Merton Wingate and Sadie Harrell Britt.

Ken was a member of Riverside Baptist Church and Cashie Golf and Country Club. He was a sales representative with Georgia- Pacific for 36 years and for Lumber Sales Corporation in Richmond VA for 14 years.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 10, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Riverside Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery, Colerain.

Survivors include his wife, Joyce Barnes Britt of the home; daughter, Rebecca Britt Wright and husband Barrett of Richmond VA; son, Kenneth Gregory Britt and wife Lori of Greenville; brother, Carroll Merton Britt and wife Judith of Merry Hill; four grandchildren, Nicole Britt of Morehead City, Emily and Josh Britt of Greenville, and Amanda Robles of Pelletier; and six great grandchildren, Carver, Madison, Emma, Aiden, Rief and Allison Grace.
