The exhibition is entitled The Past and Future Merge: Portraits of Young Women from Rural North Carolina.

Harding’s photographic work has been exhibited in galleries and museums throughout the United States and Europe; a cover photographer and interviewer for Index Magazine from 1997-2006, she’s also contributed to Harper’s Bazaar, Vice Magazine, and New York Magazine.

“We all have stories to tell,” Harding says. “I want people to identify with my photographs in a way that’s personal. The women I photograph let me into their lives, so I’m letting the viewer into the stories we create.”

The opening reception will be from 5-7 p.m. on Sept. 1 with light refreshments. Bach on Cello will be performed by James M. Guthrie, DMA, Associate Professor of Music; Director of Orchestra; Music Industry Coordinator during the reception.
