Sheryl L. Bridgers

CONWAY – Sheryl Lanier Bridgers, 54, died August 19, 2016 at her home in the Conway community after fighting a courageous battle with her illness.

She was a native of Conway and was employed by Rose Brothers Paving Company for 30 years. A lifelong and active member of Zion United Methodist Church, she was actively involved in the United Methodist Women. She loved gardening, shopping, and having manicures and pedicures, but most important to her was being a loving and caring mother to her family and to others, including “Macie”, the family puppy. Also, she loved her church.

Survivors include her husband of 31 years, Walter Martin Bridgers of their home; children, Lauren Leigh Bridgers of Greenville; sister, Connie Troutman, (Jim) of Nags Head; sisters-in-law, June Warren of Murfreesboro and Anne Barnes (Sam) of Roanoke Rapids; brother-in-law, Gene Bridgers of Greenville; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family received friends at Bridgers Funeral Home, Inc. in Conway on Sunday, August 21, 2016 from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. and a funeral service for Mrs. Bridgers was held Monday, August 22, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. in Zion United Methodist Church with Rev. Susan Harrison and Rev. Suzanne Cobb presiding. Burial followed in the Town of Conway Cemetery.
