DURHAM – The Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) in conjunction with the CIAA league’s football coaches and Sports Information Directors have announced the 2016 Preseason CIAA Predicted Order of Finish. This came at the CIAA Football Media Day held Thursday at the Marriott Research Triangle in Durham.

Chowan University was picked sixth overall and fourth in the CIAA Northern Division with one lone player, senior linebacker Demetrius Newberry tabbed to the Preseason All-CIAA Team.

The Hawks matched a program-best 6-4 overall record in 2015 and posted a 4-3 mark in CIAA Northern Division play.
