NEWPORT NEWS, VA – Albert Leroy Lassiter, 81, a native of Northampton County, died Monday, May 30, 2016 in Newport News, Virginia.

A very kindhearted man, he was friendly to everyone and he never met or knew a stranger.

He had been preceded in death by his parents, Herman Clarence Lassiter and Fannie Eunice Brown Lassiter; sisters, Retha Draper, Ola Mae Parker, and Audrey Woodard; and brothers, Clarence Lassiter, Bernard Lassiter, Earl Lassiter, and Jimmy Lassiter.

He is survived by one brother, Edward Lassiter of Newport News, VA and several nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and great, great nieces and nephews.

A Graveside Service for Mr. Lassiter will be held on Thursday, June 2, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. in the Milwaukee Cemetery.
