JACKSONVILLE, FL – Margaret Bradley Johnson, age 87, died peacefully at Community Hospice Morris Center in Jacksonville, Florida on Saturday, May 7, 2016.

Margaret was born on December 10, 1928 in George, North Carolina. Margaret was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

Margaret was educated at Louisburg College in Louisburg, North Carolina and the University of North Florida in Jacksonville, Florida. She had a love for children and taught many generations of kindergarteners at Southside United Methodist Pre-School and Hendricks Memorial Day School.

Margaret is survived by her husband of 60 years, Jim Johnson; her children, Gene Johnson (Myra) and Julie Fogliano (Dan Dunkin); grandchildren, Kayla Garceau (Richard), Kyle Johnson (Alyssa), Caleb Dunkin, and Alexis Dunkin; great-grandchildren, Rogan and Gabriella Dunkin; and sisters Barbara Matthews (Henry) and Kaye Holloman (Joel).

A memorial service was held at Southside United Methodist Church in Jacksonville, Florida on Wednesday, May 11, 2016.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Southside United Methodist Church or the Community Hospice of Northeast Florida.
