AHOSKIE, NC – Janice Dilday Martin, age 64, passed away on May 5, 2016 at the Vidant Roanoke Chowan Hospital of Ahoskie, NC.

Ms. Martin was born in Nansemond County, VA on June 22, 1951, a daughter of the late Luther and Crystal Felton Dilday. Janice was a member of First Baptist Church of Ahoskie. She worked as a sales clerk and manager for several convenience stores in Ahoskie until her retirement.

Janice is survived by her son, James Chalmer Martin, III; her brother, Steve Dilday and wife, Jennifer Smith of Grifton, NC; and a niece, Rebecca Dilday Blackmore of Washington, DC.

A celebration of life memorial service will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to a favorite charity of one’s choice.
