WOODLAND, NC – Mrs. Dorothy Jean “Dot” Rolan Harkey, 82, formerly of Spring Lake, NC, passed away peacefully Monday, March 28, 2016 in Vintage Inn in Williamston, NC.

Dot was a loving wife and mother. She was a graduate of Methodist University with a B.S. Degree in Nursing. She was a talented pianist and organist and supported her husband and served with him in his pastoral ministry.

She was a member of Menola Baptist Church, Woodland, NC, and a member of Pendleton Eastern Star. She was a past member of Spring Lake Eastern Star and Lillington Eastern Star.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 2, 2016, at 2:00 p.m. in Adcock Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in LaFayette Memorial Park in Fayetteville, NC.

A visitation for family and friends will be 12:00 noon to 1:30 p.m. prior to the service.

Surviving is her husband, Cecil Harkey; son, Michael E. Harkey and wife, Shirley; and two daughters, Lorie Beth Taylor and husband, Ralph E. Taylor, and Tami Jean Zerbst and husband, Karl Zerbst. She is also survived by grandchildren: Michael C. Taylor, Teri L. Taylor, Matthew Tuton, Andrea M. Tuton, and Jennifer Shields; and great-grandchildren: Briana Shields, Caleb Shields, Joshua Shields, Ava Taylor, Jayda Taylor and Nolan Taylor.
