GATES – Steven Dale Toppin, 53, of Emily Street, Gates, died Tuesday, March 8, 2016 at Vidant Roanoke-Chowan Hospital, Ahoskie. A memorial service will be held Sunday, March 13, 2016 at Abundant Hope Baptist Church, Gates. Military honors and “R-36 Steve Toppin Last Call” will be accorded outside the church immediately following the service. A private burial will be held at a later date. Miller Funeral Home, Gatesville, is handling the arrangements.
