MURFREESBORO, NC – Mrs. Josephine “Josey” Weathersbee Blowe, age 78, of Kill Devil Hills, passed away on March 5, 2016 at the Gates House in Gatesville, NC.

Mrs. Blowe was born on April 12, 1937 to William and Blanch Pearson Weathersbee in Scotland Neck, NC. Josey enjoyed working in her yard and tending her flowers. She loved going out to eat with her late husband, Ralph Blowe, Jr.

Josey had a dress shop, Josey’s Fashions, in Murfreesboro for about ten years. She loved reading, mainly newspapers and magazines. Josephine worked as an Administrative Assistant for ASCS in Winton for forty years, and also had her real estate license.

She was preceded in death by husband, Ralph M. Blowe, Jr.; father, William Robert Weathersbee; mother, Blanch Selma Pearson; two brothers, William Edward and Robert I. Weathersbee; and her sister, Lois W. Ollis.

Josephine is survived by her two sons, Danny M. Blowe and his wife Betz of Murfreesboro, NC, and Mark Blowe of Kill Devil Hills, NC; her grand-dog, Angel Blowe, along with her nieces and nephews.

A time to visit with the family will be held on Thursday, March 10, 2016, from 7:00 pm until 8:30 pm at Garrett-Sykes Memorial Chapel, Murfreesboro, NC, and other times at the home of Danny.

A celebration of life service will be held on Friday, March 11, 2016, at 2:00 pm at the Murfreesboro United Methodist Church, Murfreesboro, NC, with Rev. Monica Beechman officiating.
