HAYS, NC – Mr. John Christopher “Chris” DeMario, age 42, of Hays, NC died Thursday, December 3, 2015. He was born June 11, 1973 in Richland County, South Carolina.

Chris attended Bethel Baptist Church; was employed with the federal government as a USDA Inspector for 21 years and served as President of AFGE Local Union. He loved to play tennis.

Surviving are his wife, Brenda Rocio DeMario; daughter, Brianna Michelle DeMario; son, Christian Alexander DeMario; father, John Joseph DeMario; and mother, Glema Nixola Rexrode DeMario.

Memorial service will be held 2:00 o’clock Sunday, December 20, 2015 at Open Arms Church in Ahoskie, North Carolina with Rev. Joe Lassiter officiating.

The family has requested no flowers; an account has been set up at the State Employees Credit Union for the children, Brianna and Alex, memorials may be made payable to Brenda DeMario at 246 Meadow Lane Road, Hays, NC 28635 or to John DeMario at PO Box 175, Aulander, NC 27805.
