WILMINGTON – Geraldine Barmer of Wilmington, formerly of Aulander, went to be with Jesus on November 29, 2015.
She leaves behind a daughter, Cindy Barmer Turner and husband John of Wilmington; two granddaughters, Melodye Arant and Sarah Byrd; one great granddaughter, Ava Byrd; and a sister, Betty Lassiter of Aulander.
Geraldine was an Avon representative for many years and she was loved by all who knew her. She had a caregiver spirit and was known for running errands for those in need.
She was a member of the Millennium Pentecostal Holiness Church, where she served as the janitor.
She will be greatly missed by her family but we know she is beholding glory now alongside her husband Ray on what would have been their 68th wedding anniversary.
There will be a celebration of her life in the spring of 2016 in Aulander.
Quinn McGowen Funeral Home, 315 Willow Woods Drive, Wilmington, NC 28409 910-794-7171, is handling the arrangements.
