AULANDER – Mr. Glenwood Ford Lassiter Jr., age 78, of Aulander, NC passed away Sunday, November 14, 2015 at his home.
Mr. Lassiter was born September 16, 1937 in Hertford County, NC, the son of the late Glenwood F. Lassiter Sr. and Bertha Brewer Lassiter. He was also predeceased by his wife, Charlotte Louise Diggs Lassiter; his sons, Keith F. Lassiter and Gregory Dean Lassiter; his brother, Elmer Harrington; and his sisters, Hattie H. Boggs and Edie L. Gill.

He was a brick mason for many years.
He is survived by his children, Karen Branch (Kirby), Glen Lassiter, Kimberly L. Ambrose, Kelly Wilson (Greg), Gene E. Lassiter (Michelle Jenkins), and Patsy Hall; a sister, Lessie Cale and her husband Robert; sixteen grandchildren; and twelve great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, November 18, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at Massey Funeral Home with Rev. Taylor Latham officiating. Burial will follow at Job Cemetery.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, November 17, 2015 at Massey Funeral Home in Aulander, NC from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m.
