AULANDER – Mrs. Billie Frazier Holloman, age 72, of Aulander, passed away on June 8, 2015 at the Golden Living Center of Greenville surrounded by her family.

She was born in Wake County on June 27, 1942 to the late Joe and Mary Elizabeth Flowers Frazier. Mrs. Holloman served the Lord and others all of her life. She loved her husband of 49 years, their four children, eleven grandchildren, and extended family deeply and lived most of her life caring for and nurturing all of them.

In her early years, she was a nurse in Wilson County where her compassion for others was evident. While raising her children, she so loved serving her community as the librarian at Sallie Harrell Jenkins Memorial Library in Aulander. As a member of Aulander Baptist Church, one of her most cherished roles was as children’s Sunday school teacher, where she was known affectionately for years as “Miss Billie.” Her children remember well her joy in visiting friends and neighbors, and preparing gifts to others.

Mrs. Holloman is survived by two daughters, Karen H. Early and husband Randy of Aulander, and Allison H. Avery and husband Mike of Rocky Mount; her son, Hal  Holloman and wife Blair of Winterville; grandchildren, Bryan Britton and his wife Jessica of Ahoskie, Alden Early of Boone, Austin Britton of Aulander,  Luke, Zeke, Jessie and Maggie Holloman of Winterville, and Alissa, Katie, Meg and John Avery of Rocky Mount; her brother, Charlie Frazier and wife Wendy of Raleigh; two sisters, Mary Joe Avants of Stovall, and Emory Clinebelle and husband Ray of Raleigh; sister-in-law, Faye Holloman of Walstonburg; son-in-law, Tim Britton of Greenville; along with many nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Holloman is preceded in death by her husband, Harold Holloman; her daughter, Kimberly Holloman Britton; and brother-in-laws, Lonnie Avants and Donnie Holloman.

Visitation will be held Thursday, June 11, 2015 from 7:00 pm until 8:30 pm at Garrett-Sykes Funeral Service – Ahoskie Chapel, Ahoskie, NC.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, June 12, 2015 at 2:00 pm at the Garrett-Sykes Funeral Service – Ahoskie Chapel, Ahoskie, NC, with her son-in-law, Rev. Mike Avery officiating.
