JACKSON – A Seaboard man is behind bars here, charged for allegedly having sexual relations with a minor.

The Northampton County Sheriff’s Office reported the arrest of 34-year-old Lee Tann on April 29. Tann was charged with one count of indecent liberties with a child. He was jailed in the Northampton County Detention Center under a $25,000 secured bond.

According to Northampton Sheriff’s Captain Mitch Deloatch Sr., Tann’s arrest stemmed from a complaint from the Halifax County Department of Social Services and was turned over to NCSO Lt. C. Williams who completed the investigation and found that the incident occurred between Dec. 1 of last year and March 31 of the current year.

“The Northampton County Sheriff’s Office is committed to investigating all complaints that come into our office. We would like to thank the Northampton County Department of Social Services and Halifax County Department of Social Services and Lt. Williams for their efforts and hard work during this investigation,” said Northampton Sheriff Jack Smith.
