PLAINFIELD, NJ – Hollistyne Paulette Creecy Bluitt, a resident of Plainfield, New Jersey was 68 years old when she passed away on December 16, 2014.

She was born on July 20, 1946 in Tarboro, North Carolina. Mrs. Bluitt graduated from the last class of Central High School in Gates, North Carolina in 1964. She went on to earn a college degree from Fisk University in Nashville, TN and her juris doctorate degree from North Carolina Central School of Law. Hollistyne Bluitt successfully managed her own law firm in Orange, New Jersey for 30 years.

She is survived by her husband, Jimmy D. Bluitt of 33 years; her only devoted child, Lorry Munirah Bonds of Clinton, MD (Corey Bonds); grandchildren, Jalen and Laila Bonds; and a host of loving family and friends.

Funeral arrangements will be held on Saturday, December 27, 2014 at 1 p.m. at St. John’s AME Zion Church, Highway 158, Sunbury, North Carolina 27979. The viewing will be held immediately preceding the service from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m.

Services are being directed by Blair Funeral Service in Edenton, North Carolina.
