AHOSKIE – Mrs. Mary Louise Kennedy Christian, age 86, died at the VidantRoanokeChowanHospital in Ahoskie, NC on Monday, October 27, 2014.

She was born to the late Margaret Mahar Kennedy and Benjamin Kennedy in Syracuse, NY. Mrs. Christian lived in Virginia Beach for forty plus years before moving to Ahoskie where she has resided for the past twelve years.

Preceding her in death are her husband, Arthur P. Christian; her daughter, Luanne Cromwell; and her brother, Robert Kennedy.

Survivors include a daughter, Nancy Bracy and her husband, Jimmy of Harrellsville, NC; a son, Stephen A. Christian, Sr. of Virginia Beach, VA; six grandchildren, Stephen A Christian, Jr., Alyssa Christian, Amy Gaskins, Kristen Griffin, Will Bracy and his wife Kristina, and Rebekah Johnson and her husband Matt; and five great grandchildren, Savannah Christian, Landon Phelps, Gavin Johnson, Ayden and Alaina Bracy and Sophia Johnson.

Graveside services will be conducted on Thursday, October 30, 2014 at 2:15 p.m. at the Princess Anne Memorial Park in Virginia Beach, VA with Father Jeff Douglas officiating.

The family will receive friends at Garrett-Sykes Funeral Service in Ahoskie on Wednesday evening from 7:00-8:30 p.m.
