GATESVILLE – James Elvie Boone, 89, a native of Gates County, died Wednesday, August 13, 2014 at Down East Nursing Home, Gatesville.  Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, August 19, 2014 at Stoney Branch Baptist Church, Gates.  Hunter’s Funeral Home, Gates, is handling the arrangements.
