NEWPORT NEWS, VA – Lavern Grant Futrell, 73, of Newport News, VA, formerly of Woodland, died Monday, June 16, 2014 at Riverside Regional Medical Center, Newport News, VA. Funeral services will be held at 12 noon on Sunday, June 22, 2014 at Jerusalem Baptist Church, Woodland. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
