WASHINGTON, DC – Roosevelt Bess, Sr. of Washington, DC, a native of Bertie County, died Saturday, June 7, 2014 at St. Thomas More Nursing Home, Hyattsville, MD. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, June 14, 2014 at Village Gate Holiness Church, Lewiston. Burial will follow in the Weeping Mary Church Cemetery.
