WOODLAND – Amanda Jo Yarbrough Barnes, 25, died Tuesday April 28, 2014.

She was a resident of Northampton County; attended Northeast Academy and went to Mary Baldwin College in Staunton, VA in the Program for the Exceptionally Gifted.  She had worked at Hampton Woods Rehabilitation Center, Schueek Steel in Winton and was studying to be a Registered Nurse.  She was a hard worker.

She was preceded in death by grandfather, James Revelle; grandmother, Cora Leigh Applegate; and father, Ronald Yarbrough.

Survivors include mother, Darlene Yarbrough of Woodland; sister, Teresa Yarbrough of Greenville; half-sister, Micah Yarbrough Livingston of Needsville TX; grandmother, Modest Revelle of Woodland; Aunt Carol Stephenson of Houston, TX; uncles, Dale Revelle of Slidell, LA; Eddie Revelle of Woodland; Jimmy Revelle of Woodland; and Barry and Bonnie Arcement of Metairie, LA; and many great aunts and great uncles and numerous cousins.

Funeral services will be Saturday, May 3 at 11:00 a.m. at Ashley’s Grove Baptist Church with burial in Ashley’s Grove Cemetery.

She fought so bravely for many years thru her illness.
