Levy E. Liverman

WASHINGTON – Levy Elbert Liverman, age 86, a resident of Hickory Drive, Washington, NC, passed away Wednesday, April 23, 2014 at River Trace Nursing & Rehabilitation Center.

There was a celebration of his life on Saturday, April 26, 2014 at Alligood Church of God, officiated by Pastor Phillip Jethro. The family will receive friends at the home.

Mr. Liverman was born September 30, 1927 in Hertford County, son of the late Roy Liverman and Velma Brown Liverman. On April 14, 1980 he married Sylvia Haddock who survives. Mr. Liverman retired from Durham Life Insurance Co. after more than 30 years of service. He had lived in Beaufort County for 45 years and was a member of Alligood Church of God. Mr. Liverman enjoyed woodworking and playing “Blues” music.

In addition to his wife, Mr. Liverman is survived by his sons, Jimmy E. Liverman and wife Phyllis of Aulander, and Kenneth Ray Liverman and wife Robin of Ahoskie; his daughters, Lorie Kozlak and husband Eddie of Cocoa, FL, Lisa Campbell and husband Kenneth of Chocowinity, and Elizabeth Shirley and husband Robbie of Greenville; his step-children, Sherri Thomas and husband Michael of Washington, Jeffrey Anderson and wife Tracy of Wingate, NC, Donna Anderson of Washington, and Crystal Cornelius and husband Brandon of Washington; his brothers, Raymond Liverman and wife Minnie of Ahoskie, and Donald and Roger Liverman both of Ahoskie; 17 grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his son, Lynn Gray Liverman.
