Lorraine H. Nobles

EURE – Lorraine Harrell Nobles, 77, of Eure Loop Road died Monday, March 10, 2014 in Down East Health & Rehabilitation Center, Gatesville.

Mrs. Nobles was born in Moncks Corner, SC on January 23, 1937 and was the daughter of the late Rufus David and Lonie Eure Harrell.  She had worked in the clerical departments of the Norfolk Naval Base and the Norfolk Naval Shipyard, and later as a purchasing agent with the Naval Medical Center in Portsmouth, VA.  She was a member of Eure Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a great-granddaughter, Kyla McKay Turner.

Surviving are her daughter, Michelle Nobles Casper of Suffolk, VA; her granddaughter, Janeen Turner and husband Mickey of Eure; her great-granddaughter, Mickaylee Rayne Turner, and her great-grandson, Logan David Turner.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, March 15 at 11:00 a.m. in Eure Baptist Church by Dr. Wayne Proctor.  Friends may join the family in the social hall of the church immediately following the memorial service.  Miller Funeral Home, 304 Main Street, Gatesville, is handling arrangements.

In accordance with her wishes, no flowers will be accepted for the service, and those who wish to do so may make memorial contributions to Eure Baptist Church, in care of Nathan Hollowell, 10 Fort Island Road, Eure, NC  27935.
