RICH SQUARE – Hazel Vick Futrell, age 88 of Rich Square, died on February 28, 2014 at the Rich Square Health Care Center of Rich Square.

She was born in Hertford County on November 30, 1925 to Richard and Sybil W. Vick. Hazel worked selling Avon Products for some thirty-five years. She was a member of the Woodland Baptist Church of Woodland.

She was preceded in death by her husband, O.T. Futrell; mother, Sybil Warf Vick; father, Richard Henry Vick; brother, James Vick; and brother, Thomas Vick.

Hazel is survived by her, daughter, Nancy F. Branch of Rich Square; two sons, Wayne Futrell and his wife, Frances, of Rich Square, and Keith Futrell and his wife, Lynn, of Clayton; her sister, Dorothy Brinkley of Chesapeake, VA; and her brother, Dudley Vick of Rich Square.

Visitation was held on Monday, March 3, 2014 at Garrett-Sykes Funeral Service of Rich Square.

Funeral services were held on Monday, March 3, 2014 at the Chapel of Garrett-Sykes Funeral Service of Rich Square, with Pastor Paul Ange officiating.

A private interment will be held at the WoodlandCemetery in Woodland.
