AHOSKIE – Doris Taylor Wiggins, age 91 of Ahoskie, died Wednesday, February 26, 2014 at Creekside Care and Rehabilitation.

Mrs. Wiggins was born October 1, 1922 in HertfordCounty, the daughter of the late James Thomas Taylor and Daisy Maude Burch Taylor. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Cecil D. “C.D” Wiggins.

She is survived by her children, Leah W. Stubbs and her husband, Fletcher, of Richlands, Cecelia W. Bracy and her husband, Tony, of Aulander, and Jim T. Wiggins and his wife, Dana, of Lewiston; three grandchildren, Nicole Stubbs Miller and her husband Zach, Adam Ryan Bracy, and Amber Dawn Bracy; two great grandchildren, Nathan Miller and Logan Miller; her step grandchildren, Lee Bunch, and Stephen Bunch and his wife Becci; step great grandchildren, Hatteras Bunch and Camryn Bunch; and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held on Saturday, March 1, 2014 at First Baptist Church in Ahoskie with the Rev. Dr. Daniel Glaze and the Rev. Dr. Jesse J. Groom officiating.

The family received friends after the service at the church.
