George H. Jernigan

WINDSOR – George Henry Jernigan 63 of 331 Exter Road, Windsor, died Monday, February 10, 2014 at Duke University Hospital. He was born in Bertie County on December 4, 1950 to Annie J. Jernigan and the late Carlie Jernigan.

Henry was a member of Potter’s House Church and attended Askewville Assembly of God.  He was a painter by trade and served in the National Guard for six years.

Funeral services will be held Saturday February 15, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at Askewville Assembly of God by the Rev. R. O. Denton, Jr.  Burial will follow in the Dunlow Family Cemetery.

Survivors include his wife, Donna Dunlow Jernigan of the home; daughters, Toni Jernigan House of Pigeon Forge, TN, and Jennifer Jernigan Cullipher and husband, Ronald, of Colerain; mother, Annie Jernigan Jernigan of Colerain; brother, Scotty Jernigan of Bullock; and grandchildren, Seth House, Chandler Cullipher, Kyle Henry Cullipher, Abigail House and Cade Cullipher.

The family will receive friends Friday February 14, 2014 from 7-8 p.m. at Walker Funeral Home in Windsor and at other times from the home.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family in care of Donna D. Jernigan, 331 Exter Road, Colerain, NC27924.
