AHOSKIE – Barry Benjamin Miller, age 72, died Tuesday, February 11, 2014 at his home.

Barry was born in Windsor, NC on November 20, 1941, a son of the late Fred Escot and Ernestine Hayes Miller. Barry loved working with wood and had retired as a self-employed carpenter/cabinet maker. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Ahoskie.

Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife, Gail Sullivan Miller; his daughter, Ginger Pierpont and husband, Eddie, of Richmond, VA; son, Neal Barnes and wife, Kim, also of Richmond, VA; and his grandchildren, Logan, Austin and Madison Pierpont, and Elizabeth Barnes; his brothers, Fred Miller and wife, Irond,  of New Bern, and Robert Miller and wife, Ginger, of Emerald Isle; and close family friend and caregiver, Frankie Moore of Ahoskie; and a host of other relatives and friends.

A graveside memorial service will be conducted on Saturday, February 15, 2014, at 2:00 p.m. at the Ahoskie Cemetery with the Rev. Dr. Daniel Glaze officiating.  The family will receive friends at Barry and Gail’s home at 405 W. First Street, Ahoskie, following the service.
