AHOSKIE – Bessie Askew, 92, a native of Bertie County, died Tuesday, January 21, 2014 at Creekside Health and Rehab, Ahoskie. Funeral services were held on Saturday, January 25, 2014 at Newsome Grove Baptist Church, Ahoskie. Burial followed in Hillcrest Cemetery, Ahoskie. Hunter’s Funeral Home, Ahoskie, handled the arrangements.
