AHOSKIE – James Eure “Jimmy” Wiley, Jr., 59, of 252 Brinkleyville Road, Ahoskie, died Tuesday, January 21, 2014 in Vidant Roanoke-Chowan Hospital, Ahoskie.

Mr. Wiley was born in Hertford County and was the son of the late James Eure Wiley, Sr. and Anne Rountree Wiley Perry.  Employed as a construction superintendent, he was a member of Center Grove Baptist Church in Ahoskie.  He was an Army veteran having served during the Vietnam War.

Surviving are his wife of 20 years, Sandy Terry Wiley; three daughters, Danielle Wiley and Amanda Piland, both of Ahoskie, and Stephanie Wiley of Henrico, VA; two sons, Brian Piland and wife, Melissa, of Ahoskie and Eddie Wiley of Montgomery, AL; his step-mother, Faye Wiley of New Bern; three sisters, Lennette Ventura of Hobbsville, Sherl Lowe of Gatesville, and Frances Bailey of New Bern; three brothers, Jackie Wiley of Hobbsville, Wayne Wiley of Cary, and Kelly Wiley of Raleigh; and several nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held Thursday, January 23 at 2:00 p.m. in Highland Memorial Gardens, Ahoskie, by the Rev. Billy Presley.  Friends may join the family at the residence.
