Gerald R. Jarrett

WINDSOR – Gerald Ray Jarrett, 50, of 210 Mizelle Lane, Windsor, died Wednesday, January 15, 2014 at Vidant Bertie Hospital. He was born in HertfordCounty on May 22, 1963 to Elma Dean Meekins Jarrett and the late Lester Jarrett. He was predeceased by a brother, L. C Jarrett, Jr.
Gerald was a member of Askewville Baptist Church and also attended Higher Ground where his late father preached.
Funeral services were held on Sunday, January 19, 2014 at Askewville Assembly of God by Rev. R. O. Denton, Jr. Burial followed in Edgewood Cemetery.
Survivors include his wife, Sue Pierce Jarrett of the home; sons, Ryan Jarrett and Blake Mizelle, both of Windsor; mother, Elma Dean Meekins Jarrett of Ahoskie; sisters, Bonnie Edwards of Ahoskie, and Dawn Hill of New Bern; grandchild, Dylan Mizelle of Windsor; and 11 nieces and nephews.
