AULANDER – Virginia Rose Morgan, age 65 of Aulander, passed away on December 16, 2013 at Vidant Medical Center in Greenville. Virginia was born January 13, 1948 in Hertford County, North Carolina, the daughter of the late William Johnnie Harrell and Martha Jane Cooke Harrell. She worked many years for Claudine’s Restaurant as a cook.

Survivors include her husband of 46 years, Randolph Morgan of Aulander; her two daughters, Toni Morgan Pierce (William) of Aulander, and Michelle Jones of Harrellsville; her sister, Joan Crawford Harrell of Aulander; her brother, Richard Harrell (Penny) of Ahoskie; and her grandson, William Ashton Pierce of Aulander.

Funeral services will be held Friday, December 20, 2013 at 12:00 noon at St. Johns Baptist Church with the Rev. Garry Medford, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in Aulander Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at Massey Funeral Home in Aulander on Thursday, December 19, 2013 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. and other times at the home of Randolph Morgan.
