MARGARETTSVILLE – Mrs. Leasie Virginia Davis Hasty, age 97 of Margarettsville, died Thursday, December 5, 2013 at Scotland Manor in Scotland Neck.

Mrs. Hasty was born March 21, 1916 in Northampton County, the daughter of the late Matt Thomas Davis and Annie Rebecca Davis. She was also predeceased by her husband, Floyd C. Hasty Sr. She was a faithful member of Margarettsville Baptist Church.

She is survived by her children: Annie Virginia Peede, Carolyn Marie Hasty, Floyd C. Hasty Jr. and his wife, Sonee, Francis Hasty Warrington, Charlie Thomas Hasty and his wife, Elizabeth, Marshall Wayne Hasty, and Rosa Leigh Nally and her husband, Jerry; 17 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; and five great-great grandchildren.

Funeral services were held on Sunday, December 8, 2013 at Margarettsville Baptist Church. Burial followed at the Davis Family Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the home of her son, Floyd C. Hasty Jr.
