GATES – John William Maxwell, 72, of Gates died Saturday, September 28, 2013 at Sentara Norfolk General Hospital. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, October 3, 2013 at Stoney Branch Baptist Church, Gates. Burial will be in the Boone Family Cemetery. Hertford County Undertakers, Winton, is handling the arrangements.
