Judith Ann Evans

MILLENNIUM – Mrs. Judith Ann “Veeday” Evans, age 68, died at Vidant Medical Center in Greenville on Saturday, August 3, 2013.  She was a native of Hertford County born to the late Ida Lee Harmon and Jesse Ward Harmon.

Mrs. Evans was married to the late Dave Carroll Evans in June of 1972. She retired from Westpoint Pepperell and Perdue. She was a member of Christian Harbor Baptist Church in Harrellsville. In earlier years she loved fishing and hunting. She loved cooking, working cross word puzzles and cross stitching. Her greatest love in her life was her family.

Preceding her in death other than her parents are three sisters, Patricia Byrum, Sallie McDaniel and Nancy Carolyn Harmon; and two brothers, Charlie and Thomas Harmon.

Survivors include her son, Carroll Evans and his wife, Lisa, of Roxobel; two step daughters, Joan Nowell and her husband, Bob, and Donna Nalbone, all of Union; and two sisters, Jessie Leigh Hodges of Murfreesboro and Hazel Parker and her husband, Hubert, of Kelford. Also surviving are two grandchildren, Amelia and Leah Evans, along with several nieces, nephews and step grandchildren.

Graveside services were held on Wednesday, August 7, 2013 at the Jones Family Cemetery in Harrellsville.
