EURE – Paul Michael Riddick, 53, of 355 Taylor Mill Road, Eure, died Thursday, May 30, 2013 in his home.

Mr. Riddick was born in Suffolk, VA and was the son of the late Alonza Mack, Jr. and Elnora Eure Riddick.  Employed for many years as a heavy equipment operator with the North Carolina Department of Transportation, he was a member of both Open Arms Church in Ahoskie and the Gates County Certified Emergency Response Team.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Barbara Anne Riddick; and a brother, Carl Mack Riddick.

Surviving are his wife of nearly 27 years, Carolyn Vann Riddick; two sons, Chris and Bryan Riddick, all of Eure; a sister, Betty R. Barden and husband, Nelson; a brother, Ralph Riddick, all of Suffolk, VA; and one niece and two great-nephews.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, June 8, 2013, at 2:00 p.m. in Open Arms Church by Pastors Joe Lassiter and Russell Blanchard.  Friends may join the family at the residence.

Miller Funeral Home, Gatesville, is assisting the family with the cremation arrangements.
