GLEN ALLEN, VA – Mrs. Celestine Archer Mitchell of Glen Allen, VA, formerly of Winton, departed this life on May 20, 2013.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, William J. Mitchell, Jr.

She is survived by her daughter, Toni M. Manning (Ira); her son, William F. Mitchell, Sr. (Arleene); six grandchildren, William F. Mitchell, Jr. (Monique), Ira O. Manning III (Karen), A. Mitchell Manning, Corey S. Mitchell, Tonya V. Gooch, and Terrence B. Edney; five great-grandchildren; three sisters, Frances Simmons, Susan Pierce (Leroy) and Dorothy Drew (Dwight); five nieces; four nephews; many great nieces and nephews, and other relatives and friends .

Remains rest at Walter J. Manning Funeral Home, 700 N. 25th Street, Richmond, VA.

Graveside services will be held Sunday, May 26, 2013 at First Baptist Church Winton Cemetery at 1:30 p.m. Reynolds Funeral Home, Ahoskie, is in charge.
