Katrina Ann Thomas

AHOSKIE – Katrina Ann Thomas, age 60 of Ahoskie, passed away May 13, 2013 at Vidant Roanoke-Chowan Hospital in Ahoskie.

Katrina was born March 5, 1953 in Blakely, Georgia, the daughter of the late Billy Lee Thomas, Sr. and Bobbie Dean Peterson. She had been living at the Ahoskie House, 407 Loftin Lane Ahoskie, for the past several years. She spent many years of her life as a homemaker. Katrina was also preceded in death by a brother, Thomas Collie Bowman.

Survivors include her daughter, Sandra Thomas Plaunty and husband, Bill, of Ahoskie; her two sons, Billy Lee Thomas Jr. and wife, Candy, of Blakely, GA and Marvin Dewayne Hightower of Brunswick, GA; her four grandchildren, Tripp Plaunty and Stanton Plaunty, both of Ahoskie, and Lee Thomas and Riley Thomas, both of Blakely, GA; and one sister, Ellen Bowman Greene and husband, Johnny.

A celebration memorial service of Katrina’s life will be held at a later date in Blakely, Georgia.
