Mr. and Mrs. George D. Freeman Jr. of Gates and Mr. and Mrs. Charles Ray Savage of Ahoskie announce the engagement of their daughter, Pamela F. Green of Ahoskie, to Rodney T. Newsome of Ahoskie. Pamela is a 2010 graduate of College of the Albemarle Surgical Technology program.  She currently is employed at Vidant RCH in Ahoskie as a surgical technologist in the Operating Room.  Rodney is the son of Clarice Newsome of Ahoskie and Roosevelt Jenkins of Ahoskie. Rodney is a graduate of Lenoir Community College. He currently is employed with Associated Brigham Contracting and is working in Florence, S.C. A small church wedding is scheduled for July 20 at Calvary Missionary Baptist Church.
