Robert W. Parker

SMYRNA, DE – Robert W. “Wayne” Parker of Smyrna, Delaware passed away on Saturday, March 30, 2013 at the Delaware Hospice Center in Milford, DE.

He was 60.

Mr. Parker was born March 20, 1953 in Kelford, NC, the son of Vauda Hoggard Parker of Kelford. He is predeceased by his father, Troy L. Parker Sr.

Wayne retired after 19 years of work as a Boilermaker. He was a member of the International Brotherhood of Boilermakers.

He was a member of the Kelford Baptist Church.

He loved being in the yard where he enjoyed working on the lawn, feeding and watching the birds and squirrels. Wayne also liked NASCAR and hunting.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his loving wife of 13 years, Debbie; his son, Eric Spence of Smyrna, DE; his grandsons, Austin and Cory Spence of Pottstown, PA, and Able Spence of Smyrna, DE; four brothers, Sterling Parker of Kitty Hawk, Troy Parker, Jr. of Ahoskie, Bailey Parker of Kelford, and Leslie Parker also of Kelford; and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and extended family members.

Services and burial will be privately held.
